No matter how much information you can get online, reading in printed form has its own charm. The pleasure of reading a book sitting in garden cannot be replaced by working on any lap top or PDA. What really makes this habit of reading books still very popular is the convenience and availability of this form of study material.
Though you can store hundreds of eBooks on your laptop, you cannot read all of them while travelling or vacationing. A few advantages of reading books in printed form rather than eBooks on your PC
· You are not dependent on power source or battery life of your laptop

· You do not strain you eyes even if you keep reading for hours.
· Always handy and can be carried anywhere. Pocket books can be carried even in purse.
· Unlike electronic device, no need to worry about keeping it away from water or liquids.
· You need not worry about data or eBook being corrupted because of virus.
· Last but not the least; books remain a timeless memory as long as you can keep them safe.
Even today I make it a point to buy and read books regularly. It gives me satisfaction of spending my time leisurely. This feeling is missing when you read the same book in electronic form.
Though I must admit searching for books online is great time saver, visiting you local store and flipping through the books before buying has its own pleasure.
You can order any book you like from wherever you are. Order online and your favorite book will be shipped as soon as possible.

Personal growth is an act of improving yourself intelectually, financially, physically and mentally. It is about moving in the positive direction. One of the keys to personal transformation is self knowledge. Looking inward is all one needs to know and understand oneself, the universe and life. There are many doors that open inward for self discovery. One of these is through the understanding of our emotions. Fear is the mother of all negative feelings. We are increasingly living in a fear based society. We fear loss of job, loss of income, loss of health, loss of security and loss of self esteem. We can live a life which is motivated by unconditional love. We can only do so if we can see ourselves as more than just a physical body. We are the owner of our thoughts and are totally responsible for the consequences arising from them.
Self confidence is a belief that is merely a perception of reality. In this world there are two types of truths-absolute and relative. We live in a universe where everything is relative to something else. An object is big in relation to another smaller object; the same is true for everything else. In a relative universe such as ours truth is only relative, it is never absolute. Absolute truth cannot be perceived or seen. One of the important things we need to realize is that we see and experience our world according to our beliefs. Since a believe is a perception of reality, there is no right or wrong in one field of self improvement. What works for one may not work for another. Self improvement is not rigid and blinkered science; there are many ingredients that can be blended to produce a large variety of self improvement.

Volumes have been written and sold about positive attitude being the most important factor for being successful in any field. No doubt positive thinking gives us motivation to achieve success, but does it mean we should not look at the risks involved in any venture.
Personally I believe if you take into consideration the negative aspects and effects of any new venture, you can avoid failures. Although nobody can be very sure about future, yet if we take calculated risk, failures can be minimized.

I have come across many people who are over optimistic but lead a miserable life. They don’t take health hazards seriously because they positively believe nothing can happen to them. In later phase of life they realize that they are suffering from various diseases. As they did not take any health insurance during their healthy phase, they face a lot of difficulty when they are not capable enough to pay their medical bills. Is this kind of positive attitude good for anyone? No way. What are insurances for? Why not take an insurance even if you are very healthy and teetotaler?
People do not update their skill sets believing positively that they can maintain the same lifestyle with the same skill sets. Times change and once their skills are outdated, they find themselves in the middle of nowhere. They start blaming their fate if things don’t happen the way they expect. Unless you take the risk factor seriously, positive attitude is of no use.

Living on credit cards, simply thinking that you will pay later is of no use if you do not plan your expenditure. Spending more than you earn because you think a better job will come your way leads you to debt trap. Suddenly you lose your job and your future plan goes for a toss. Why not think a bit negatively and secure yourself against risks.

Success has different meanings for different people. No matter how you define success depending on your goals and ambitions in life, a few tips are very helpful in achieving success.
Set your goals: Goal setting is very important if you want to be successful in any field. Goal setting means you should write down your goals in your personal diary and it should be read every day. Research has proved that writing down your goals and reading it time and again is very effective in programming your mind to find out ways to achieve success.

Set a time frame: Once you have your goals very clear in your mind and written in your diary, make a plan on how to achieve it. Whether it is earning a certain amount of money or leaning how to play guitar or simply quitting an addiction like smoking; set a timeframe for achieving it. Once it is written on paper make sure that you divide it in parts which can be realistically done on daily basis. Do not set unrealistic goal which eventually leads you to give up your whole plan of achieving your goal. Goals should be set in long term, middle term and short term categories.
Make time to achieve your daily goals and marking it in your diary. This way you start approaching your goal. In certain unavoidable circumstance if you are not able to achieve your daily goal, try to compensate it next day working twice as hard.

Remember, you need to be very strict to follow your written mission to achieve your goals because it is very easy to give up. Road to success is very slippery and you have to be very strict if you really want to be successful. After a few weeks of strictly following your routine, it becomes your habit to strictly follow your mission. Always be focused on your goals as it always keeps you motivated to achieve more and more.
